Anyone noticed how Cage started acting like El-P around the time he swithced up his music style? If you watch The Home Movies or the Def Jux Tour DVD you can see how El-P talks the same way in interviews and even does the same facial expressions. Back then Cage had his own personality and way of talking. I think El-P had a big influence on him. And he seems more insecure in this interview than he ever did back in the day. I think he was depressed, drugged up and tired here.

yes! why weren't they immense? they had the sound and the band, the tension, the beauty; maybe the tempo was slow for the kids? coz they were perfect.perfect songs, mary would simply stun everyone with her impossibly beautiful looks, voice, guitar playing, songwriting: did they even know they were so very good? did they believe it... helium was one of the very best bands of the 90s... if they could've only stayed together, with the matador support, they'd be on jools holland like cat power...

great live sound, christina files used to do lots of those live bands at the middle east in the 90s... then she drummed for mary, oh so wonderful and beautiful... such a lost lost fan of mary and all that movement... super 8 films, the harvard radio station's orgy programme, sebadoh, used bookstores, people tripping loads and all that infectious action... the sound here is so much better than all that new rave crap these days... these kids were free and drugged or not and brilliant... miss u

Expressions on their face priceless with eyebrows up and mouth dropped saying wow wow. A awesome show really look like sisters that were tired of each other. @CallMeToast If you have Crohn's then you have it a lot worse than UC. Crohn's is far more damaging and can extend to sores in your eyes, mouth, genitals, joint pains, liver problems, fistulas, abscesses, etc. I would trade my Crohn's for UC in a heartbeat.

I have Crohn's disease, which is kind of like UC. I think. But anyway, I'm 17 and I've already had the fun experience of having part of my intestines removed! And I have a nice big scar to show for it. I suppose at least I'm lucky enough to have it pretty much under control now, though... Fun topic, I know.
